What about dew claws and microchips? We believe that each family should have the right to decide whether or not their pupy is microchipped. Because of this we do not send the puppies home microchipped. However, we are happy to have it done, at the cost of the owner, when we take the puppy in for their 8 week check before going home. We do not remove dewclaws. Poodles and Golden Retrievers have tendons and bone attached to their dew claws. Removing them is painful and unnecessary. Dogs actually use them to help them when they run, climb, and chew on their toys. Here is an article on why it is important for dogs to have their dew claws.

How do you prepare my puppy for living in my home?Great question! From the day your puppy is born they will be exposed to all aspects of life that occur within a home. 3 of our children wear glasses so they will be extra comfortable with people in glasses. Our children are always dressing up so the puppies will constantly be exposed to new and creative outfits. From 3 days old we begin ENS with each of our puppies, waking up their sweet little brains. This process will help your puppy to grow and be happier and healthier throughout their lives. We begin the process of training your puppy with Baxter and Bella, and we hope to send every puppy home knowing how to sit on command. We will begin potty training and crate training your puppy as well. We will do temperment testing at 7 weeks old so that you know what type of puppy you will be bringing into your home. We believe that giving you this information will help you to pick the right puppy for your family. Puppy picks will happen after this testing is done.

You seem to breed your dogs often, why is that? This is such an important question to ask. We have done a lot of research on this issue, as the old view was to wait at least one heat between litters, if not more. The more research that has been done reveals that following these practices actually increases the risk of the Dam getting cancer and getting tumors. We are happy to share multiple articles. We have included this one. We love our dogs and want to do only what is best for them. So if that looks like breeding back to back that is what we will do. We look at the big picture when choosing to breed. We do not take breeding lightly, and aren't just "in it for the money." We want to do what will help our dam's and studs live long happy lives, while bettering the goldendoodle breed with only the best genetics and temperaments.
